Elisa Bartolini is a young restorer of cultural artefacts. After graduating in visual arts and restoration from the Fine Arts Academy of Venice, she continued her studies in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, specialising in the conservation of artefacts made from ceramic, glass and organic materials, metal and metal alloys. Later she opened her own workshop “Bart” in Pero just outside Milan where she carries out restoration works on sacred artefacts, sculptures and also on metal, gold and engraved stone artefacts; she also works with ivory and other organic archaeological finds, ceramics, glass, and plastic as well as wax modelling, a technique used in the detailed reproduction of objects and sculptures.
