Geografica is a brand and ceramic workshop in Montebuono, a small hillside village in the province of Rieti, founded by ceramicist and designer Karla Sotres in 2014.
A project in continuous evolution, focused on research and creativity, which allows the crafter and artist to experiment with shapes, techniques and finishes, with always new and original results. In her atelier, she first creates the prototype of the piece, and then she makes by hand the item itself, after a careful study of colours, local materials and the location where the object will be placed.
Her creations are characterised by essential lines and delicate colours, inspired by country life. Two collections are available: Ordinaria, functional ceramics dedicated to everyday life; and Extraordinaria, refined and “extraordinary” pieces, which stem from a more instinctive and emotional creative process.
In her studio, Karla exhibits and sells her ceramics, and hosts private courses and workshops, thematic gatherings and creative residencies, where artists or enthusiasts can approach clay and get in touch with their creativity.
