In Milan, Davide Grosso produces a collection of custom-made furniture, created with oxidised and coated iron plates. His pieces are protected by the GLab trademark. All items are customised but can also be replicated.
Davide Grosso is not only the son and heir of the best Italian tradition, he is also a protagonist in the field of excellence craftsmanship. His creativity stems both from his expertise in dealing with his chosen material – iron – and from his acquaintance with the history of Italian and French furniture.
The ferrous materials used by GLab are processed with numerically-controlled laser machinery and were originally in use within the serial production of the car industry and associated businesses’ spare parts.
Davide’s collection combines these ferrous materials with artistic techniques, such as 18th-century Venetian varnishing and gouache gilding, long-standing features in Davide’s DNA from his early career as a restorer.

Davide Grosso established his GLab company in 2000, introducing an unprecedented collection of furniture and furnishing items, with a “raw” as well as classic look, realised in different metals, processed with numerically-controlled laser machinery. Craftsmanship is now openly tackling technology through one-of-a-kind, customised pieces, enabling replication of manufacturing processes without affecting their uniqueness. In time, his collection has been enriched with woods, varnishing, and other techniques from the antiquarian world, a familiar field for Davide, who first started experimenting with it at the beginning of his career. Today, GLab, also supported by architects Giampaolo Celada and Cristina Meucci, caters for the requirements of a refined international clientele, looking for exclusivity and excellence for their homes and working spaces.
