LussoMediterraneo Jewels is a ceramic jewellery brand created by Maria Elena Savini. Originally working as a set designer, she later decided to shift to artisanal crafting and fulfil her dream of starting her own business. Traditional ceramic manufacturing is a slow and contemplative art; it requires time, which gives Maria Elena the chance to develop new design ideas in her mind and bring her creations to life by working directly on the clay – no need for previous sketching or designing. Combining ceramics and valuable metal alloys, Maria Elena Savini creates handmade bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, wearable sculptures or tiny cameos, where extraordinary natural elements become unique, original and elegant pieces, rich in colour and exuding Mediterranean passion. In fact, her collections are mainly inspired by the natural elements of both land and sea, such as leaves, flowers, animals, shells and stars.
