Ivana Antonelli is a ceramist from Faenza. After graduating from Ballardini Art School, she studied ceramics alongside masters such as Angelo Biancini, Carlo Zauli and Alfonso Leoni, until her graduation at Bologna’s Fine Art Academy. She worked with Bruno Munari, and together they devised the “Metodo Bruno Munari Originale ®” (Original Bruno Munari Method), based on the manipulation of materials. She coordinated MIC’s educational project “Playing with art”, based on the very same method. Today Ivana carries on the method, which she developed at a higher level, both in Italy and abroad. At the same time, she works in her workshop Mabilab, located in Faenza’s historical center, where she creates ceramic items with original textures, as well as replicas of 15th and 16th century traditional Faentine pieces. In 2021 she published the book “My ceramics with Bruno Munari”.
