Architect, ceramist and artist Salvatore Scaffidi grew up in Santo Stefano di Camastra, an open-air ceramics museum in the province of Messina, where he learnt the trade from his parents, who, after running their bottega for more than 50 years, passed it on to him.
There, Salvatore creates and showcases both traditional Sicilian pieces and innovative art works. His creations, a contamination between craftsmanship, art, design and architecture, draw inspiration from real-life stories and the emotions they conjure up. Within its shapes and colours, each piece of work preserves the magic of sunsets over the sea and the warmth of summer.
A wonderful piece of Sicily enclosed in your home.
