Sigrid Ceramics is a small craft ceramic studio located in Rome, specializing in functional ceramics, tableware and home décors. Sigrid Verbert, born in Belgium, with a degree in Literature and a background as a journalist, food blogger and cookbook author, learned how to work on the potter’s wheel in New York, in 2016: since then, her passion has become her trade, and this technique her favourite one, through which she creates unique stoneware pieces in a simple, elegant and versatile style, characterized by small imperfections, attesting to their handcrafted nature.
Her pieces are natural, unique, useful and most importantly durable, thanks to the high temperature firing, at 1240° C, which makes them extra-resistant and suitable for everyday use. In her studio she also teaches classes and workshops on moulding, potter’s wheel and ceramic decoration.
