D&G Design is an artistic ceramics laboratory managed by the couple Gokhan Yildiz, ceramic artist and modeller graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University of Istanbul and the architect Demet Donmez. Uniting their different experiences and skills, in 2000 the two artists opened their own activity in Deruta, a fascinating town and renowned for its splendid handcrafted ceramicware. Their works—table sets, decorative plates, vases and other ornaments—are created in their small laboratory and then displayed for sale in their showroom. Although being inspired by local tradition, Demet and Gokhan introduce a contemporary line into their works; unexpected pairings which render their production truly unique. These two artists also execute personalised decorations and designs on request and ship their products worldwide.
