Giuseppe Lisio opened his first fabric workshop and store in 1906. Before long, he became established both on the Italian and international markets, creating relationships with outstanding artistic and cultural figures of the day, like Gabriele D’Annunzio, and meeting the taste of monarchs, nobility, ambassadors and church hierarchy.
Today, his workshops produce fabrics featuring both traditional and contemporary motifs, also collaborating with important fashion firms. Their products are entirely hand-made, with silk, precious yarns and innovative materials.
The Fondazione Lisio is supporting the knowledge of textile crafts through training courses, publications and cultural initiatives, based on their wide archives of antique textiles.
