In 2018 Barbara Bordato opened Manimono, her workshop, in Vimercate, to devote herself to high-temperature ceramics, after experimenting extensively with the material and learning everything about clay.
Her path in this world began almost 20 years ago, thanks to the encounter with Giancarlo Scapin. In her work, where mind and hands work in perfect harmony, she combines her experience with raja yoga, her philosophy studies and her expressive instinct.
A creative and patient process, which requires study, repetition and great skill; sometimes, even without a project or preliminary design, she lets inspiration take the wheel. Driven by her passion and love for new discoveries, in her atelier in the province on Monza, she crafts functional objects such as vases, plates and tableware, as well as sculptures and other figurative items, all masterfully modeled.
She also holds ceramic classes for children and adults.
