Poggi Ugo’s historic kiln gives life to terracotta artefacts since 1919.
The workshop is located in Impruneta, in the beautiful hills surrounding Florence: here Antonella and Lorenzo Andrei, grandchildren of founder Poggi Ugo, passionately carry on the ancient Imprunetan art of natural clay processing, giving life to vases, home decors, furnishings and functional objects in a wide range of styles, shapes and sizes.
The passion for this art and the mission of spreading its charm to a wider audience brought Antonella and Lorenzo to add artistic and design pieces to their collections, thanks to the collaboration with architects, artists, sculptors and designers, thus bringing the world of craftsmanship and that of design and art closer together. Alongside the classic natural terracotta line they also introduced GrigioLava, a collection of vases and complements created using pure Imprunetan clay, but in a dark-grey shade that adds a more contemporary feel to this material, already rich in history and tradition.
