The Bottega Franchi is a place of beauty and splendour, right in the heart of Rome, where visitors are welcomed by precious jewels and bronze sculptures expressing the authentic meaning of “well made”. The atelier was established in 1962 by Fausto Maria Franchi and is currently run by his son Enrico, who has preserved the Bottega’s artistic imprint as a workshop of ideas, research and innovation.
A single space hosts both the exhibition venue and the workshop, thus revealing the genesis of each work and the alchemy of the goldsmith’s art. Beside viewing the finished product, the visitor can witness each step of its creation, from the initial design to the final finishes, thus clearly perceiving the authentic value of each item at a glance.
The Bottega Franchi also provides customised goldsmith’s courses, independent of the apprentice’s level of expertise and technical skills.

Fausto Maria Franchi is a multifaceted artist, a goldsmith, a sculptor and a silversmith, combining a child's imagination and spontaneity with the hands of a dedicated Fine Art Master Craftsman. His workshop, now run by his son Enrico, merges savoir-faire with creativity and innovation in jewellery, where gold, silver, bronze, and enamel are the basic elements of one common denominator: the well made.

Bottega Franchi is a most interesting workshop. Soon after starting his activity, its founder, Fausto Maria Franchi (whose works have been shown in important dedicated exhibitions) combined artistic research with product design, applying the ancient chisel and lost wax techniques in a modern, innovative way. The same approach is being carried forward by the new generation, thanks to his son Enrico Franchi, who developed his own research in other interesting fields, extending his melting techniques with different metals from jewellery to sculpture, as well as creating and designing jewels and other artefacts.
