Matteo Capitini and Silvana Milighetti, together run a historic workshop specialized in artistic ceramic, located in Castiglion Fiorentino, near Arezzo, which since spring 2023 also became a ceramics museum and art gallery that can be visited upon request.
Matteo Capitini trained as a ceramist in Orlando Dragoni’s workshop and in 1967 started his own production of artistic ceramic together with his wife Silvana Milighetti, a painter endowed with great creativity and a passion for decoration.
Together they carry on the Castiglionese tradition and give life to collections inspired mainly by the classical age, as well as artefacts with more modern shapes.
In 2023 the couple decided to showcase the valuable collection of ceramics they have created over many years of work, making it accessible to the public: the exhibition includes never-before-seen pieces as well as faithful replicas of historically relevant pieces, such as Aretine cups from the Roman times and Etruscan buccheri.
