Ceramica Artistica Lodigiana Vecchia Lodi is the largest traditional ceramics workshop in the province of Lodi and one of the most important in the whole of Lombardy.
Founded by Angelo Pisati and Giovanni Minetti in 1981, when the glorious ceramics sector in Lodi – which had experienced periods of true European splendour in the 18th and 19th centuries – was in serious decline, the workshop quickly made a name for itself for its ability to master traditional decorations and to innovate them by offering the market something new, in full respect of the tradition that it strongly contributes to relaunching. Each artefact that leaves the workshop is unique and many of the new decorations are however inspired by models from pieces that are part of important museum collections.
The creations of Ceramica Artistica Lodigiana Vecchia Lodi are distinguished by their vivid polychromy and eclectic design, and the wide variety of products and services make the workshop a point of reference in the area and a qualified school, as attested by a series of important prestigious awards bestowed on founder Angelo Pisati (Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere 2024 and Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica), his daughter Marialuisa, who keeps the family tradition alive (Premio Rosa Camuna 2011) and partner Giovanni Minetti (Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica).
