Friul Mosaic is an artistic mosaic workshop in San Martino Al Tagliamento, near Pordenone. A craft business with a long tradition, but with an open mind towards contemporaneity: starting with the design, always searching for innovative patterns and original compositions, each mosaic is hand-crafted, tile by tile, abiding by the traditional techniques of classical mosaic. Today the atelier is run by founder William Bertoia, Natalina Querin and her two daughters Barbara and Tiziana, and they exclusively employ master craftsmen trained at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli (Friuli’s School of Mosaic), located in Spilimbergo. Wall mosaic decorations, floor tiling, artistic and architectural solutions are all strictly made-to-measure, with mastery, rigour and sartorial precision, never forgetting creativity and innovation. In fact, alongside classical motifs they also experiment with original and modern textures, inspired by nature, artworks and mythology, but also by the concept of modern mosaic as an interior design element.
