Alessia Bosa is an artist and artisan based in Bassano del Grappa, where she founded a workshop dedicated to painting and ceramics. After more than thirty years of experience in glassworking—including leading, sandblasting, painting and fusing—she chose to deepen her work with clay, which now lies at the heart of her practice. Her background in painting, however, allows her to apply colour to a variety of surfaces: textiles, furniture, walls, glass and even the human body, through body painting.

An important part of her craft practice is the organisation of L.A.Bò – Laboratori Artistici Bosa: experiences open to everyone, designed to rediscover the pleasure of working with one’s hands, instinctive creativity, and the slow pace of manual making. In ceramics, she mainly offers two workshops: clay forming and ceramic painting. In the former, she guides participants through traditional hand-building techniques (slab building, moulding and extruding) to shape the clay and create unique objects. In the latter, the focus is on decorating ceramic bisque pieces, using specific colours and precision tools.
