Asperitas is a young and dynamic workshop specializing in the creation of functional objects in stoneware and porcelain.
Sandra Olivieri is the mind and hands behind the project: at 17, during a cultural exchange in Beijing, she tried the potter’s wheel for the first time and fell in love with it. But it was only many years later, this time in Portugal, where she was working as a tour guide, that she decided to learn the technique.
She returned to Gorizia because of the pandemic, and in 2021 opened her workshop: today she crafts aesthetically essential and cool-toned ceramics, which she pairs with the pursuit of sustainability. Her pieces are in fact designed for everyday use and made to last, thus they come with a MOCA declaration of conformity, certifying their suitability for food use. In her studio she regularly offers ceramic classes and workshops for those who wish to learn the techniques of the trade, even for beginners.
Sandra Olivieri showcased her artworks in Italy and abroad, from Bologna, Naples and Udine to Paris and Seville.
