Michele Garbin is a true silversmith master. He lives and works in Laveno-Mombello, near Lake Maggiore, where he crafts his hand decorated creations, specializing in the reproduction of famous works of art. Michele is able to capture the beauty and quality of silver by employing the chisel and embossing technique: thus, his precious metal items are a combination of modern art and ancient fine craftsmanship techniques. Upon request, the master also creates portraits, holy art pieces and functional everyday objects such as home decors and tableware, as well as decorative items adorned with precious stones, arabesques and ornates. His expertise is a result of his studies at the “Scuola per Orafi e Argentieri di Milano” (Goldsmith and Silversmith School of Milan) and his training under the best silversmiths, such as Mazzucato and Coppola. He won the Annibale Cuzi prize, awarded by the Goldsmiths’ Association of Lombardy.
