Mussner G. Vincenzo is a sculpture and sacred art workshop located in Ortisei, Bolzano. The studio belongs to the Mussners, a family active in woodworking since 1897 and specializing in devotional artworks, mainly working for the Church and other religious organizations, as well as private clients, creating statues, crucifixes, bas-reliefs, coats of arms and decorative artworks made out of hand-carved wood. The atelier is located within what is known as the “Valley of the Sculptors”, renowned throughout Italy for its long standing tradition of wood carving: in fact, many of the artworks featured inside churches all across the country come from Ortisei. Today the workshop is run by Gregor, fourth generation of a family of master craftsmen: together with a team of painters, decorators, gilders, turners, carpenters and restorers, he creates authentic works of art destined to religious worship.
