Born in Rome in 1976, Alessandro Valentini works within the tradition of Roman bronze craftsmanship. He specialises in the restoration and reproduction of bronze and brass objects, combining historical and artistic knowledge with complete mastery of the production processes.
A third-generation bronze artisan, he trained in the “Bottega Storica” on Via Angelo Brunetti, where from 1996 to 2011 he worked alongside his father Maurizio and his uncle Alberto, mastering techniques such as casting, chasing, turning, assembly, and patination. In 2012, he opened his own workshop with a showroom on Via Leonina 28, in the historic Monti district. Here he develops a practice that encompasses conservation restoration, philological reproductions, and model-based production of furniture elements in metals, including precious ones.
In his “new” workshop, Roman, Genoese, Sicilian, Neapolitan and French ornamental vocabularies of the 18th century coexist with the demands of contemporary design. Collaborations with emerging designers in furniture and fashion extend his practice to exhibition and runway jewellery, maintaining a constant dialogue between formal heritage and current research.
