Simona Serra is a ceramic and pottery restorer.
After attending Ballardini Art School, she graduated as a Master Craftsman, specializing in the restoration of ceramics. After her studies, she worked in various workshops in Faenza, later opening her own studio in 1994: here, she carries out repairs and conservative restorations on majolica, terracotta, stoneware, earthenware and plaster pieces, working for antique dealers, museums, collectors and amateurs. Simona Serra is able to tastefully restore an item’s stability and structure while also preserving its aesthetics, working on valuable artworks as well as simpler artifacts of sentimental value. Her skills cover anything from a simple chipping damage to a full reassembly, from remaking missing parts to executing intricate details. In her atelier she also holds restoration classes for amateurs, ceramists and restorers.
