Giancarlo Candeago is one of the most acclaimed blacksmiths in Italy and abroad, a true master of wrought iron.
In his workshop in Cortina d’Ampezzo, near Belluno, he crafts furnishings inspired by the shapes of nature: starting from the observation of the landscape and its beauty, this blacksmith initially sketches his preparatory studies, then, in the forge, he proceeds to hand-craft each piece, devised to fit harmoniously in the architectures that will host them. The master is in fact capable of executing any style, from classic to contemporary, including objects with extravagant and original lines, expertly combining shapes and details in ever-unique solutions. Gates, staircases, gratings, railings, fixtures, fireplaces, accessories and other decorative complements become fundamental features of the interior design of homes, hotels, stores and museums, able to add character and beauty to any space.
